Well, El and the gang are back from the land of OZ. We're exhausted! El didn't sleep much on the plane from Beijing, so she was pretty much awake for 28 hours straight! That meant that Pat and I were pretty much up for all that time too. Luckily, Maeve managed some sleep.
But, we had a safe trip home and no one has slipped, tripped, slid or been dropped down the stairs. Maeve is overjoyed to be home. El is happy to no longer be traveling on a plane or van. Mom and Dad aren't sure which end is up right now. Popo and Gunggung are taking care of the lot of us.
Elspeth appears to have a cold. Maeve is just over her flu that she had in China. I'm sure the rest of us will be getting sick now that the traveling part is over. Still, you'll probably hear from one of us in the next few days.
Tomorrow, OHIP and maybe EI.
For tonight, to sleep perchance to dream.
PS It is nice to be able to sign in to the blog for a change!

Welcome home!! We're glad to hear you're back, though obviously exhausted. Can you believe you've been to OZ and back again? What an amazing dream that must have been.
Congratulations again to the new family of four and kudos to Popo and Gunggung for taking care of everyone! Sweet dreams. :)
Big hugs and much love,

so glad you are all back chez Forde, it is wonderful to hear you are all safe and sound and that Maeve is overcoming her flu, and Elspeth has only a cold (but I do hope the rest of you don't acquire any of those)- love to Elspeth and Maeve, and so glad to hear that Popo and Gungun managed to avoid the flu/cold and are taking care of you all!

Whew. I bet you're glad that part is behind you. I had to laugh, I'd totally forgotten about the whole down the stairs episode! We're glad you can log on too. You know we'll be expecting day by day updates as we're feeling deprived. Can't believe you've been and are back. That's just wild. Happy adjusting. Hope you can get set straight for sleeping and can stay well. Hugs

Here's to a speedy recovery from jet lag and colds / flus.

Welcome home! I hope you all sleep well tonight, are able to take it easy the next few days, and can ward off any more illness.
I laughed when I read the stairs comment. Blame it on jet lag. You can blame jet lag for lots of things the next few days. :)
Glad you're home!
so thrilled you are all back safely. have been calling mum and dad to get the reports, but i thought we'd leave you alone your first week and let you settle in. let us know whenever our newest niece/cousin might be feeling up for a visit. we are thinking of you all and hoping everything is going smoothly now that you're all settling at home. we send you lots of love, nancy and lochlann xoxo (p.s. the photos from your visit to the forbidden city and the great wall are amazing - what a trip to be able to tell their friends when they are grown) xoxo
