When Maeve was in a foster home in Xinyu she shared her life with two beautiful foster sisters. We believe that experience has left lots of room in her heart for a mei mei (little sister). She can hardly wait to meet Elspeth and begin sharing everything—though the reality of having to share Mom and Dad along with her toys and bedroom might be more than Maeve's ready for!
A = Nanchang, where we first met Maeve
B = FengCheng, where Feng Nian Yu (Elspeth) awaits us
C = Xinyu, where Yu Cai Ling (Maeve) spent her first 10 months of life
So now we have a million things to do before we get on a plane, November 4th. We're going to take a few days in Shanghai to do a little sight seeing and adjust to the time zone before we meet Elspeth. Hopefully Maeve will be okay on the LONG plane trip!

I love seeing the map, and how close your daughters' birthplaces are. That's amazing.
One piece of advice for Maeve's plane ride...stickers!! Also, if she's had trouble with her ears in the past a friend told me about Ear Planes. You can buy them at major pharmacies. They're little earplugs that help with landings.

p.s. bram slept through the landing on his first plane trip so hopefully Maevey will get some rest too! :)
aunt nance and lochie are so excited to follow this second journey to another new grandaughter/niece/cousin to our family! Elspeth is a treasure for sure and we cannot wait to meet her. Maeve will be soooo excited to go with her mum and dad to find her sister and bring her home, her little mei mei! and how lucky Elspeth will be to gain such a caring, loving, attentive older sis in Maeve and Pat as her daddy and Kit Ye as her mum! i get tears picturing them standing up for each other on their wedding days - two close and loving sisters. It's so exciting to think Elspeth will watch Maeve go through important stages in her life and look forward to going through them herself and Maeve will be forging the path ahead of her, showing her the way. They will be forever close! Such special sisters. And both such special treasures to our family - we are all so lucky and blessed!!! And Lochie is especially lucky to have such beautiful cousins so close in age to him for playmates! YAY!

Just got the news about the new Gotcha date and are absolutely thrilled!!! We can't wait to meet sweet Elspeth. She truly glitters- as does your precious Maeve. It will be so much fun to follow your blog- with Maeve in it from the beginning this time - soooo exciting- and happening so fast!!!
