My How You've Grown

I was taking some photos of El and Maeve this weekend and realized just how much El has changed in the 10 short months that she's been with us.

In November she was a meek little stick figure who weighed 20 pounds and was 29 inches tall. She could barely sit up on her own and could not support her own weight on her legs.

Now she is a hardy little girl who weighs 26 pounds and is 34 inches tall. Holy cow! Six pounds and 5 inches in 10 months!! She loves to run, jump, climb and dance AND she has a nice round Buddha belly. She is a healthy, happy, strong willed little girl.

And just for you Rae: Maeve is now 39 pounds and 41 inches.

Our first meal together in Nanchang.

At home last November - Day 16 with her new family.

The girls @ Christmas. El didn't want to pose for photos.

The girls on Labour Day. El is still crying for photos...

Wow, it's amazing how much El has grown! It's all that love from her wonderful family. She looks so bright-eyed and healthy and her hair is growing fast too! The last two photos are priceless -- I know how you feel El, I don't like having my picture taken either.

Thanks for the stats on Maeve, Kath! I'll enter them into my pie chart. ;)

THat is amazing - I didn't know she'd grown so much in such a short time but, of course, the change when I see her is incredible each time - she advances in happiness and health and lots o' love. we're so happy she is part of our big family! xo

The last 2 photos are classic--the girls look the same in both pics! These photos really show the differences in El. It's amazing how she's changed, and how much stronger she is.
